With Yorkshire Energy, what you see is what you get. Our community is based on fairly priced, efficient energy you can understand. We have one clear mission - to be one of the best energy suppliers out there, not one of the biggest.

We believe everyone should have access to great value gas and electricity, to power the things that matter most to them.

That’s why we make switching easy to do, our bills simple to read and our tariffs green and fair for all. We recognise our customers as people, not numbers on a spreadsheet. We’ll always listen - we’re here to help, educate and inform.

We’re small, new and nimble enough to adapt to change, benefiting you every step of the way. Our experience means we can work smarter and faster, passing the savings we make onto you. We also want our customers to understand their own energy use and learn to be more efficient themselves. Right from the very beginning, we’re doing things right.

02 Who We Are

A little bit about us.

Yorkshire Energy is a brand new energy supplier based in the heart of Leeds. We set out to create something special - a different kind of energy company with a different kind of team, one that combines private sector expertise with public service values.

We have firsthand experience of just how unfair and complex the energy market can be.

Our team is made of people who have worked in the industry, with additional grounding in technology, government, social enterprise, finance and renewables. Our combined expertise uniquely positions us to tackle the low levels of trust and satisfaction people have in energy companies.

We’re united by the common belief that gas and electricity are more than just utilities; they have the potential to transform local economies and benefit entire communities. And because we’re locally owned, unlike “the big six” energy companies we have no overseas shareholders driving our business - it’s just us, doing what’s best for our customers.

Empowering our customers.

Our customer-first approach combines digital knowhow with real human beings. You’ll never be redirected to a random call centre or be forced to talk to an automated system - if you have an issue, you can talk directly to our in-house team of friendly energy experts.

Set up in the interests of our customers from the very beginning, we’re all about keeping things clear, simple and real.

So whether it’s breaking down your bill, understanding your energy usage or learning more about your meter, we’re here to help.

04 Partnerships

Working together with like-minded businesses.

We’re all about building strong and proactive relationships with our customers. But we also want to help local businesses and other organisations meet their energy consumption needs and sustainability targets.

We know our partnerships reflect who we are, so we want to work with businesses who share our values. We already have strong links with universities, councils and non-profits, working closely with them at every level. At Yorkshire Energy, we’re driven by a desire to make a difference. We’re a dynamic, fast-growing team, constantly searching for new and innovative ways of delivering our services. We work closely together to make life simple and hassle free for our customers.

Our flat, collaborative structure gives people the chance to move around, learn new skills and work on different projects. We each bring unique skills, interests and personalities to the table, but we’re all committed to creating a welcoming culture that values customers, partners and employees. We also like to play as hard as we work - our large, modern office has plenty of comfy spaces to rest and socialise, and our outdoor deck is perfect for summer barbecues.
